A behind-the-scenes look at Google's Friends & Family Day at Citi Field and how tarot creates meaningful moments at corporate events.
As a corporate tarot reader in NYC, I've had the opportunity to work with companies including Google, Amazon, Pinterest, Universal Music Group, monday.com, Balmain, Urban Outfitters, Venus et Fleur, Yelp, Shoptalk, and many more.
If you had told me a few years ago that I'd be reading tarot at Google's Friends & Family Day at Citi Field, spending the evening at Universal Music Group's holiday party, or setting up in the Shoptalk offices for an employee wellness event, I probably wouldn't have believed you.
Yet here we are.
One of my favorite parts of this work has been watching tarot find a home in places people least expect it. Not tucked away in a crystal shop or at a Halloween party, but at product launches, employee appreciation events, conferences, happy hours, and luxury brand activations.
People often ask me the same question:
"Why does tarot work so well at corporate events?"
The answer is surprisingly simple.
People are craving experiences that feel personal.

Why Corporate Event Tarot Works
Most corporate events already have the essentials:
- Great food
- An open bar
- Music
- Maybe a photo booth
Those things are fun, but they're also expected. Tarot creates something different.
Unlike traditional corporate event entertainment, tarot gives every guest a personalized experience. That's why it works equally well for employee appreciation events, conferences, holiday parties, wellness activations, and luxury brand events.
Every reading is a one-on-one experience. For five or ten minutes, guests get to step away from the crowd, ask a question, laugh, reflect, and have a conversation that's completely unique to them.
That's why tarot becomes more than entertainment. It becomes one of the experiences people remember long after the event is over.
My Favorite Part Is Watching Skeptics Become Believers
There's a moment that happens at almost every event. Someone walks up to my table and says,
"I've never done this before."
Or...
"I don't really believe in this stuff."
I always smile because those are usually my favorite readings.
My style has never been about pretending I can predict exactly what's going to happen next Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Instead, tarot is a conversation. The cards help people think differently about what's already happening in their lives. Sometimes that conversation is funny. Sometimes it's surprisingly emotional. Most of the time it's somewhere in between.
Five minutes later, that same person is usually waving over a coworker saying,
"Okay, you have to do this."
Watching that transformation never gets old.
Corporate Tarot Creates Real Connection
One of my favorite events this year was Google's Friends & Family Day at Citi Field.
Thousands of employees and their families spent the day enjoying activities throughout the stadium. I met parents, kids, grandparents, engineers, marketers, executives, and people who had never even seen a tarot deck before.
The best part wasn't giving the readings.
It was watching people leave the table smiling, then immediately bring someone else back with them.
At Universal Music Group's holiday party, coworkers compared cards throughout the evening.

At monday.com's employee happy hour, people who had never met each other ended up standing around discussing their readings.
When I visited the Shoptalk offices for an employee wellness event, people stepped away from their desks for fifteen minutes and came back noticeably lighter than when they sat down.
Those moments are what companies are really investing in! Not tarot itself, but connection.
Tarot Fits More Corporate Events Than Most People Realize
Over the years, I've brought tarot to all kinds of events across New York City.
Some of the most popular include:
- Employee appreciation events
- Holiday parties
- Wellness weeks
- Team offsites
- Brand activations
- Product launches
- Client appreciation events
- Conferences and trade shows
- Happy hours
- Beauty and fashion events
- Influencer events
- VIP experiences
Every event has a different energy, and that's one of the things I love most about this work.
No two readings are ever the same.

Why Brands Keep Booking Tarot
I think there's a misconception that people book tarot because it's trendy. But in my experience, that's rarely the reason.
Brands book tarot because people remember it.
I've had guests tell me months later that they still think about a particular card from their reading. I've watched coworkers spend the rest of the evening comparing notes. I've seen people who were nervous to participate become the biggest advocates by the end of the event.
Those are the experiences companies hope to create.
Something that feels authentic. Something guests actually engage with. Something people talk about after they leave.
Whether you're planning corporate event entertainment, an employee appreciation event, or a luxury brand activation, tarot creates an experience guests genuinely remember.
What It's Like to Work With Me
I know hiring a tarot reader for a corporate event can feel a little outside the box.
That's okay!
My goal is never to make guests uncomfortable or turn the event into something overly mystical.
If anything, I probably surprise people.
My style is conversational, approachable, and modern.
Think less crystal ball. More thoughtful conversation.
Some guests ask about their careers. Some ask about relationships. Some just want to pull a few cards because they've always been curious.
Every reading meets people exactly where they are.
That's why tarot works equally well for someone who's been reading cards for years and someone who's never touched a deck before.
Frequently Asked Questions About Corporate Event Tarot
Is tarot appropriate for corporate events?
Absolutely. My readings are designed to be welcoming, thoughtful, and inclusive. Many guests are trying tarot for the first time, so I focus on creating an experience that's engaging, comfortable, and memorable.
How many guests can you read during an event?
That depends on the format. Most corporate events use shorter readings, allowing me to meet with dozens of guests throughout the evening while still giving each person meaningful one-on-one time.
What types of companies hire tarot readers?
I've worked with technology companies, beauty brands, retailers, media companies, fashion brands, and event agencies. Tarot works well anywhere people are gathering to celebrate, connect, or create memorable experiences.
Do guests need to believe in tarot?
Not at all. Some guests are longtime tarot enthusiasts. Others are simply curious. Both tend to have an equally great experience.
Do you only work in New York City?
While I'm based in New York City and regularly provide corporate event tarot in NYC, I'm available to travel for select events.
