In June 2023, Tarot by Alexis brought private tarot readings to Chillhouse's Under the Sea collection launch at the brand's flagship in SoHo, New York City, where the space was transformed into an immersive beach-inspired experience.
Between manicures, pedicures, drinks, sand and floaties, guests could settle into a cozy corner for a personalized tarot reading designed to bring a little clarity to whatever they wanted to explore.
Dive Into a Little Clarity
For the launch, Alexis partnered with the Chillhouse team to make tarot feel like a natural extension of the Under the Sea theme.
Chillhouse created the visual design for a custom tarot sign, while Alexis helped develop the language introducing guests to the experience:
“Whether your path flows like a calm ocean or hits rocky waves, dive into clarity with tarot readings by Alexis. Sea your future unfold!”
The playful messaging connected tarot to the creative world of the collection without dictating what guests could ask once they sat down.

The readings themselves were intentionally open-ended and completely personal to each guest.
Guests sat down for approximately six-to-eight-minute tarot readings and could ask about whatever was most present for them, whether that was love, career, relationships, creativity or simply what they needed to know next.
The format made it possible to offer a meaningful one-on-one experience within the energy and pace of a busy product launch.
No two readings were exactly alike.
Tarot, But Make It Under the Sea
For the launch, the Chillhouse SoHo flagship was transformed into a playful beach-inspired escape in the middle of New York City.
Guests moved between manicure and pedicure stations, drinks, sand, floaties and private tarot readings, bringing the Under the Sea concept to life throughout the store.
Alexis read from an intimate setup tucked into the event, with couch seating, a coffee table and an additional chair for guests, creating a comfortable place to step away from the party for a few minutes with the cards.
It was immersive, playful and very Chillhouse.
